About Successif

Successif is a career advising program helping professionals transition into high-impact roles in AI safety and governance. We provide personalized coaching, specialized training, and consulting services.

The Role

We're looking for a part-time contractor to score incoming applications to our advising program. You'll use a structured rubric to evaluate each applicant's background, motivation, and fit — and flag edge cases for team discussion.

This is a focused, async-friendly role ideal for someone who wants to contribute meaningfully to AI safety talent pipelines without a heavy time commitment.

What you'll do

  • Score applications against our rubric (~2–3 hours per week)

  • Flag edge cases and dealbreakers with brief written notes

  • Communicate asynchronously with team members to align on borderline cases

What success looks like

  • Ensuring a quick turnaround time for all incoming applications.

  • Maintaining high scoring consistency (inter-rater reliability).

What we're looking for

  • Familiarity with the AI safety / AI governance space

  • Sound judgment — can read between the lines and assess potential, not just credentials

  • Clear, direct written communication

  • Reliability and attention to detail

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in hiring, admissions, or program selection

  • Familiarity with high-impact career frameworks or global catastrophic risk reduction discourse

Compensation & logistics

  • 30 USD per hour, paid monthly. Fully remote and async. We'll invite shortlisted candidates to complete a work test before confirming the engagement. This is a contractor role, and the successful candidate will invoice Successif to be paid.

  • Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis, but we look to fill the role within the coming week if possible.
